Day 365 "The End"

When I found this funny "Artwork" somewhere in Downtown Boston, it struck me that
the end is really the beginning of a new cycle! When one door closes another one opens!

Its been a pleasure working with you all and congratulations on the successful completion of 365 Pictures Project. We did it!

Arlington Memorial Cemetery

The end came much too soon for most of those people who lost their lives while doing their job...

This was a very fun experience. Thank you all for sharing you pictures!

Day 358 - Treasure Chest 2000 (freestyle)

I found this box with all the contents in a pile of trash ready to be picked up by trash collector. It contained many  many hi-fidelity audio cables, connectors, DJ mixer, wi-fi router. Right on time for setting up my home studio!

artificial light - real rain

what you see in the background is rain illuminated with a single flash triggered remotely at full power .
another flash in front of the subject at 1/16th power shot though an umbrella.
this is a very cool idea i learned from a photography blog. the subject and the photographer stays under a shed. a wireless flash is covered with transparent plastic and exposed to the rain behind the subject to illuminate rain.

photography is all about light - fortunately, it's not limited to sunlight.

Day 345 - Climbing trees (Freestyle)

When I came back home I saw my little neighbor climbed in the tree in front of my house and thought she was so pretty with her outfit matching the flowers of the tree and wanted to take a picture. I yelled "stay in the tree, don't go down yet". She seemed so puzzled I did not understand why, until her mom burst in laughts explaining me she had just been yelling her to get down the tree immediately!

'last minute'

the picture doesn't say much about the theme but it was a last minute picture taken when my camera battery was flashing low and had just enough juice to take this long exposure shot.

Day 338 - Canadian geese late departure (Theme: Last minute)

Some always wait 'till the last minute... like these poor Canadian geese still trying to catch-up while their friends are enjoying the southern sun!

Day 317 - Made in USA

Did you know that New Balance is the only athletic shoe company still manufacturing some of their shoes in the USA?

And not in an ugly building...

Look for the "Made in USA" or "Committed to American workers" labels...
